About the Hosts

Mile High Hosts is COSTRA’s Denver-metro chapter, built by and for people working in short-term rentals. Behind Every Stay reflects a simple belief: hospitality is teamwork, and the people doing that work deserve to be known.

Behind Every Stay: Celebrating the People Who Make Hospitality Happen

The listing may have a host’s name on it, but every good stay depends on more people than the guest ever sees.

Behind Every Stay is an evening for the cleaner who turns a property between back-to-back reservations, the access technician who gets a failed digital lock working before check-in, the linen crew that keeps moving through a sold-out weekend, and every other person who shows up when a property needs them.

People nominate individuals whose work deserves recognition. When someone refers a company instead, MHH asks that company to name one person from its team. Every individual nominee will be recognized during the evening, with no voting, ranking, or competition.

Presented by Mile High Hosts, a chapter of COSTRA, the event brings together nominees, hosts, property managers, and the companies that support short-term rentals across Colorado. It is a chance to recognize good work in public, meet the people behind other successful stays, and spend an evening with people who understand what hospitality takes.

Food and two drink tickets are included with every ticket. The event uses a drop-in format from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Arriving early gives attendees the best chance to see every nominee recognized.

Who Should Attend

  • Workers nominated directly and individuals selected through company referrals
  • Hosts and property managers who want to support the people behind their stays
  • Colorado hospitality service companies and professionals
  • COSTRA members
  • Anyone who wants to be part of a more connected short-term-rental community

Nominate Someone

Anyone may submit a nomination. The nominee may work anywhere in Colorado, and COSTRA membership is not required.

Nominate a specific person you know by name. If different people from a company rotate through the work and you do not know whom to name, refer the company instead. MHH will ask the company to select one person from its team, and that individual will receive the recognition.

Tickets

  • Nominated workers attend free through a direct invitation from MHH.
  • COSTRA members should use the registration instructions shared directly through COSTRA.
  • Public tickets are $15 plus Eventbrite fees.
  • Food and two drink tickets are included with every ticket.

Capacity is limited to 100 people. Every attendee must complete an individual registration.

EvenT FAQ

Does the nominee need to work in Denver?

No. Mile High Hosts is Denver-metro based, but nominees may support short-term rentals anywhere in Colorado.
