HALF STAYS LOCAL
Property manager members are invited to contribute to local and national advocacy efforts through a $2 per reservation campaign in partnership with the Right to Rent Collaborative.
YEAR-ROUND LOBBYING
COSTRA seeks to retain a year-round lobbyist in support of our local and state level advocacy efforts. Lobbyists help us at the local level by monitoring pending ordinances that impact short-term rentals and at the state level by keeping close contact with lawmakers during the legislative session. These lobbyists work in direct contact with our Executive Director and Board Members to advocate for fair and effective policy that does not harm our short-term rental community or bring unintended consequences to Colorado’s vibrant tourism driven economy.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The Colorado STR Summit is hosted each year in the fall, bringing together the best and brightest minds in Colorado’s tourism community. We get together for a few important days to hear from experts on the economy, tourism data, legislative issues, and the important role that short-term rentals play in the massive economic engine that drives Colorado: tourism. This conference examines all facets of that role, offers educational opportunities to further professionalize short-term rental operators, and provides a unique perspective unlike any other conference.

INTRODUCING: OWNERS OPT IN
New for 2027, the Owners Opt In program encourages property managers to bring their homeowners into the COSTRA membership.
This program starts at the Business Builder commitment, with the property manager setting the stage by becoming a part of COSTRA.
Then, you’ll invite your homeowners to join COSTRA as individual members by opting in to join us.
Most managers choose to promote the Owners Opt In program via their newsletter that accompanies a monthly statement, by introducing COSTRA with content we can help you create.
Homeowners opt in, you collect their annual membership dues on the next statement, then you transfer the dues to us.
It’s that easy.
The best part? By enrolling your owners via Owners Opt In, your property manager membership value will increase to match the upper level tier based upon your total contribution. That may move you from Business Builder to Executive Partner – or possibly even to Corporate Premier. Your final position will be determined based on overall contribution, and you’ll receive the benefits to match your new tier. Plus: your owners gain access to COSTRA’s member benefits at the same time. It’s a huge win for you, for them, and for all of us. Together we become one community, one voice.

The first step is to introduce COSTRA. We’ll work together to create content that fits your newsletter communications and style. All you need to do is review and click send.
STEP 2: OWNERS OPT IN
You can make it easy for your owners by providing a response date. Enroll those who are a “yes” after that response date by including COSTRA membership on their next owner statement.
STEP 3: CONTRIBUTE
After owner statement assessments are collected, send a check or transfer to COSTRA on behalf of your homeowners. Provide us with the final count and we’ll enroll them as part of your membership.
